Farmer Guardians of the Upper Thames
Natural Environment Investment Readiness Fund project
Working alongside the Landscape Enterprise Network, this project hopes to achieve rapid private investment into the landscape in order to build in resilience and climate change adaptation for both farmers and other local businesses.

This will help

(a) habitat and species restoration
(b) investment transition to regenerative practices for climate change adaptation
(c) investment for infrastructure/equipment that helps rebuild soil organic matter and reduce their artificial fertiliser usage.
The project outcomes will achieve include increased habitat connectivity, cleaner water and local flood mitigation.

We will engage around 50 farmers, many of whom will be Farmer Guardians, where we will help them to create land management plans, which can be used to show opportunities for landscape scale projects. We will then create THREE distinct projects across Gloucestershire using the results of these plans.
